Your Homes Newcastle presented us with a multi-faceted and complex web development challenge to meet the needs of 2,500 staff and 100,000 tenants, in an area of the UK with 23 different languages.
Online standards set by central government, as well as the need to deliver efficiency improvements, were also part of the brief.
We designed an easy-to-use website using Immediacy CMS, offering a range of online services including rent payment, housing applications and an anti-social behaviour reporting system.
A NetConstruct bespoke software program enables customers to track home improvement programmes, while greater use of video enhances communication with those who speak English as a second language.
An intranet to improve staff communications was also developed, using Immediacy's dual server licencing. We installed the intranet on-site, including server configurations, and trained YHN's staff in content and technical management for both the website and intranet.
